MS Dhoni: The Untold Story has managed to impress the critics as well, as it has qualified for list of movies up for Oscar nominations.
Recently, Facebook released a list of most talked about topics and trends towards the end of this year. It is a no-brainer that movie found a place in top five.
Few more stories came into notice which were either not showed or were false.
MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’ reaches a new high after becoming the second highest grosser of 2016 with a total business of 129.50 crores in India.
Chittu was his friend since his school days and Chotu Bhaiya is the owner of a sport merchandise store in Ranchi, who supported Dhoni since his early days in cricket, be it financially or morally.
The performance in the movie by Zeeshan as young Dhoni was very much applauded and even the Indian captain himself praised for his acting skills.
Before the release of the biopic, there were plenty rumours about actors like Fawad Khan, Gautam Gulati and Ram Charan to play the role of three famous Indian cricketers. However, all this is not true.
Quite ironically, ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’ is yet to reach Dhoni’s ancestral village of Lawali in Uttarakhand, as the nearest cinema hall to Lawali is 115 kms away in Haldwani, Nainital district.
"I may be non-existent in the movie because I don’t have much contribution in Mahi’s life – be it during his childhood, his struggle as a young man or after he became MSD for the world. The film is about Mahi, not his family,” Narendra said.
Though this story is a part of Dhoni’s journey to becoming an India cricketer, it is also significant as it explains his first encounter with a future colleague and a close friend Yuvraj.
