Pace spearhead Kagiso Rabada on Thursday not only became the eighth South African to scalp 200 Test wickets, but also became the third-fastest Proteas bowler to reach the milestone in the longest format of the game.
Rabada took two wickets for just eight runs as he led a South African fightback against Pakistan in the first Test in Karachi on Tuesday.
South Africa had drawn the two-Test series in 2010 and 2013 when Pakistan had hosted them in the United Arab Emirates.
The two sides have played 11 Test series since 1995 with South Africa winning seven and Pakistan one in 2003.
