A three-member tribunal has been formed by the PCB to investigate the spot-fixing case allegedly involving Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif in the PSL.
PCB's media manager Amjad Hussain Bhatti confirmed that the players had the right to appeal in any court of law.
Shaoib Akhtar said that it was always very difficult to prove match fixing or spot fixing allegations before any court of law or commission.
Both Sharjeel and Latif play for defending champions Islamabad United in the fledgling PSL, the second season of which began in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) earlier in February.
Shaharyar Khan made it clear that if the two players admitted to their guilt no commission would be formed to hold proper hearing into the charges against them for PSL 2017 spot-fixing.
Sharjeel Khan who was suspended from the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) amid corruption allegations, has said that his son “did not do anything wrong”.
Javed Miandad believes the latest corruption scandal in Pakistan cricket has done immeasurable harm to PSL and top players will avoid signing up for it in the future.
