After their five-wicket win over Supernovas in the tournament-opener on Tuesday, a victory over Velocity would have sealed Trailblazers' place in Saturday's summit clash.
Smriti Mandhana led from the front and scored 90 off 67 balls as Trailblazers beat Supernovas by two runs.
The tournament which was an unofficial, 13-a side encounter last year, is now an official domestic T20 series.
Four matches will be played among the three teams at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium with Supernovas taking on Trailblazers in the tournament opener.
While WV Raman will coach the Supernovas, Biju George and Mamta Maben have been named as the coaches of Trailblazers and Velocity teams respectively.
All the matches will be held at one venue with Chennai, likely to be the venue for the IPL 2019 final on May 12, slated to host the final.
