An insane bouncer!

Bellerive Oval is known for its bounce, but the lethal delivery unleashed by David Saker against Jeff Vaughan in a Sheffield Shield encounter of November 2011 was on another planet. Despite his burly frame, Saker was certainly not express. That ball took off a length and rose very, very steeply, at a near-ridiculous angle. It was unplayable, and even that is an understatement.

The ball hit the grille of the helmet. The Tasmanian fielders — led by Saker — surrounded Vaughan, who was perhaps saved by the helmet. He had to retire hurt. On another note, this is yet another video from Rob Moody’s enormous repository.
