A video uploaded by Cricket Australia on their YouTube channel showing England captain Alastair Cook interact with the media prior to the fourth Test of the Ashes at Chester-le-Street, Durham.

Alastair Cook says England support DRS following a meeting with the International Cricket Council (ICC), which on Thursday admitted that the technology didn't perform effectively in the first three Tests. ICC’s General Manager (cricket) Geoff Allardice, met with the representatives of the England and Australia teams and the ICC umpires in Durham and described the meetings as “very constructive”.

Cook says a report players in the ongoing Ashes were using silicone tape on their bats to avoid nicks being detected by Hot Spot technology was "rubbish".

The allegations were made by Australia's Channel Nine television on Wednesday, with England batsman Kevin Pietersen said to be one of the players under suspicion.
