A video showing Australia captain Michael Clarke reach his double century on Day One of the second Test against South Africa at Adelaide.

Doing so, Clarke entered the record books as the only cricketer to register four scores of over 200 in a calender year.

He had earlier entered an elite group comprising his countrymen Don Bradman and Ricky Ponting of the only individuals to have recorded a triple century and two double tons in a year.

Clarke helped Australia reach a mammoth 482 for five on Day One. He was ably supported by opener David Warner, who scored a quickfire 119 off 112 and Michael Hussey, who made 103 off 137 balls.
