Michael Clarke and Michael Hussey chat to the press after claiming a 3-0 series win over Sri Lanka in the final Test at the SCG.

Hussey retired from international Test cricket after the hosts won the third and final Test match at Sydney on Sunday. Hussey had earlier announced that the Sydney Test would be his last, bringing an end to a glorious career that was spread across seven years.

Hussey scored 27 runs in the second innings of the final Test against Sri Lanka. At the end of the match he was joined by his three children at the ground.

Making his debut in 2004, Hussey became the engine of Australia’s middle order and served his side with 6183 runs in 78 Test matches at an average of 51.52. Hussey has scored 19 Test centuries and three ODI centuries.
