Australia beat Sri Lanka by 32 runs to level the five-match One-Day International (ODI) series in the fifth and final match at Hobart on Wednesday.

The visitors got off to a good start as the openers Mahela Jayawardene and Tillakaratne Dilshan added 57 runs for the first wicket in 73 balls. However, Xavier Doherty struck three quick wickets to reduce Sri Lanka to 77 for four in the 21st over of the innings.

Phil Hughes slammed his second One-Day International century against Sri Lanka as Australia managed to reach 247 for five after being put in to bat first.
