Cricketer-turned-politician Kirti Azad on Sunday called the BCCI's Working Committee meeting in Chennai a "sham" and said the Board members were not bothered about asking for President N Srinivasan's resignation.

"If the president is not going to resign, then all this meeting is a sham. All I can say is these people were not bothered," said Azad.

Srinivasan on Sunday agreed to "step aside" till the probe into his son-in-law Gurunath Meiyappan is completed under a compromise formula that brought back former chief Jagmohan Dalmiya as head of a four-member interim arrangement to run the Board.
