Bhuvneshwar Kumar recorded figures of 6-1-8-4 in a must-win clash against Sri Lanka at the Port-of-Spain on Tuesday to help India win the game by 81 runs.

Put into bat India reached 119 for three in 29 overs thanks to a sedate 48 not out by Rohit Sharma.

Sri Lanka needed 178 in 26 overs via Duckworth-Lewis method and India had to restrict them to under 167 runs in order to qualify for the final. India dismissed Sri lanka for 96 and earned the bonus point. They topped the table at the end of the round-robin matches.

Bhuvneshwar was adjudged man-of-the-match for his stellar bowling performance.
