For Gujarat it was a moment to savour as the home boy Cheteshwar Pujara slammed a steady century, his second century in six Tests. Pujara has looked a convincing replacement for Rahul Dravid in an understated innings.

Pujara went on to score his maiden double ton and remained unbeaten on 206 when India declared their innings.

Pujara's ton raises hopes that the Saurashtra lad will fit well in the boots of the great Rahul Dravid.
