Perth Scorchers defeated Auckland Aces by 16 runs in the Group A match on Tuesday.

Auckland’s loss in their tie helped Delhi Daredevils and local side Titans made it to the semi-finals from the group.

Chasing a target of 141 to win, the New Zealand side were restricted to 124 for eight.

Martin Guptill’s 36 in the start was the only fighting effort as the other Aces batsmen found scoring difficult.
