Cricket Australia CEO James Sutherland announces broadcast deal

The Nine Network retained its rights to broadcast Australia's matches for the next five years. This move is set to bring $590 million over the period for Cricket Australia.

Cricket Australia's CEO James Sutherland made an official announcement on the development. Network Ten will be broadcasting the Big Bash League.

Sutherland promised that there will be a plan in place on spending the money. 75 per cent of it will be spent on fans, development of cricket and on the players.

Australian team is currently in England for the ICC Champions Trophy 2013 and will play the all important Ashes series from July.
