The sixth edition of the Indian Premier League will be adding some new venues in their rank in this season. The decision was taken by the executive members of the IPL governing council in a meeting held in Mumbai.

Delhi Daredevils will play two of their home matches in Indian Premier League (IPL) 6, to be held in April-May, at Central Indian city Raipur while Rajkot and Ahmedabad have been shortlisted as alternative venues for North Indian city Jaipur to host the home matches of Rajasthan Royals.

"Delhi Daredevils had requested for Raipur, so we have given two matches to Raipur. Chhattisgarh Cricket Association was also very keen to host Indian Premier League (IPL) matches, so we have given to them," said IPL chairman Rajiv Shukla after a meeting of the T20 League's Governing Council in Western coastal city on Wednesday.
