England defeated New Zealand by 247 runs in the second Test match at Leeds to complete a 2-0 series win on Tuesday. Graeme Swann completed a 10-win wicket haul and played a crucial role in dislodging the batsmen.

New Zealand were bowled out for 220 — their highest in this series — after a stiff resistance from the last pair of Neil Wagner and Trent Boult.

It took a fairly long time for the home side to finish off the New Zealand batting thanks to heavy rain. With just 45 minutes of play in the first session and the second session delayed as well, it seemed that the Kiwis might just find an escape route.
