A delighted Hashim Amla briefed the press after South Africa registered a historic Test series win on Sri Lankan soil.  It was their first win in Lanka since 1993. The Proteas had to faced 94 overs on the final day and managed to hang on to a draw. They had won the first Test convincingly thanks to Dale Steyn.

This was Amla’s first sting as Test captain and the team was without its senior pros Graeme Smith and Jacques Kallis. But the team stuck together and eked out an unlikely draw. They faced a total of 11 overs and scored 159 runs.
