Indian spin legend Anil Kumble turns 42

One of the true greats of Indian cricket – Anil Kumble celebrates his 42nd birthday on Wednesday.

The leg-spinner who once won a number of matches for India is now an administrator – with an endeavour to smoothen the process in Indian cricket.

Even after retirement, Kumble remains a shining example of integrity and a never-say-die attitude that saw him emerge victorious on a number of occasions.

Kumble is more than a cricketer who has phenomenal records to his name. Yes, his tally of 600+ Test wickets and the memorable 10 wicket haul in an innings places him in an elite club.

However, one cannot forget the day he walked in to bowl with a broken jaw for the cap he treasured.
