The owner of defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders and Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan will not be able to attend the Indian Premier League match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium, due to a five-year ban imposed on the actor last year.

Mumbai Cricket Association's (MCA) five-year ban imposed on Shahrukh last year stands and he will not be able to attend his team's IPL match against hosts Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on May 7.

Khan, however, denied he had misbehaved and maintained he reacted only after children, including his kids, were "manhandled" by the security staff at the stadium.

However, IPL Chairman Rajiv Shukla, had said soon after the MCA decision was announced that a final call on Khan's ban will be taken by the BCCI.
