Former cricketer Kirti Azad believes the name of the Board of Control for Cricket in India started getting sullied after the formation of Indian Premiere League. He also said, involvement of politicians in the independent sports body has corrupted it.

Earlier, in a veiled attack on BCCI Vice President Arun Jaitley, Azad said people in the board are not going after president N Srinivasan because "somebody wants to be the next president" of the high-profile sports body.

Jaitley, who heads the Delhi & District Cricket Association, is in contention to become the next BCCI chief when Srinivasan's term ends next year, as a North Zone representative is entitled for the post, going by the rotation policy.
