England strike bowler James Anderson met with fans at his home club of Burnley CC in Lancashire before the fourth Test between India and England at Old Trafford, Manchester. Anderson, who was acquitted of the charges levelled against him by the Indian manager, ended up taking five wickets in the match.

The right-arm pacer rocked India early on, combining with Stuart Broad to reduce India to eight for four, a score from which the visitors never quite recovered. India were bowled out for 152 in their first innings and fared only marginally better in the second innings, getting to 161. The hosts won the match comprehensively, inside three days, by an innings and 54 runs.
