Former chief selector of the Indian cricket team, Kris Srikkanth on Thursday slammed former cricketer and selection committee member, Mohinder Amarnath by saying that the minutes of the selection committee meeting should be kept secret.

Srikkanth further said that the focus should be diverted from the controversies to ensure that the team, which is currently playing to save the series against England, is not distracted.

Earlier on Wednesday, Amarnath revealed that the five national selectors were keen to appoint opener Virender Sehwag as captain in place of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, but were overruled by Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President N Srinivasan.
