A video of Sri Lankan skipper Mahela Jayawardene's press conference post his team's victory over India in the eighth One-Day International (ODI) of the Commonwealth Bank Tri-series at the Gabba on Tuesday.

The Sri Lankan captain made a surprise comment when asked about the “Mankading” incident, saying that he had no idea about the regulations and that it was just a minor incident, which should be forgotten.

The skipper was full of praises for his team who performed brilliantly to conquer India in a crucial game, but added that they should have pushed for the bonus point by restricting India to an even lower score.

Mahela also credited his bowlers for doing a decent job and getting rid of a strong Indian batting line-up.

When questioned about his stand on the Mankading incident, the skipper quickly said that he would have warned the batsman instead of taking the bails off. He praised the Indian skipper for doing the right thing at that moment.
