Souther Stars captain Meg Lanning reflects on 2014 after winning the Belinda Clark Medal. She won the Belinda Clarke award for the International Women’s cricketer of the year at the Allan Border Medals Award ceremony in Sydney on Tuesday.

This is Lanning’s second award win on the trot after claiming the award last year as well. Other women cricketer to win this prestigious award in the past were Karen Rolton, Cathryn Fitzpatrick, Lisa Sthalekar, Shelley Nitschke and Jess Cameron. Meg Lanning has been on top form for the past couple of years, leading to a number of series win for the Australia National Women’s team and also helping the team dominate the ranking table.
