West Indies women's cricket team came in as underdogs in the tournament and are returning as the runner up of the event.

The delighted skipper Merissa Aguilleira said that it was a big achievement for the team and the Caribbean nation will be proud of the women's team.

West Indies lost by a whopping 114-run margin to Australia in a lopsided contest. It was sharp contrast to Caribbeans' spirited win against the same opponents in the Super Six stage.

But Aguilleira highlighted positives for her side after a dream run.
