Michael Clarke, the Australian captain hit the net on Dubai on Saturday. He continues his recovery from injury while Australia’s big hitters tee up for their T20 against Pakistan on Sunday.

Australia and Pakistan step into new eras in T20 cricket with new captains at the helm. Shahid Afridi returns to lead Pakistan in the shortest format, and on the other side, Aaron Finch takes over from George Bailey. Both sides have a host of young faces in their units, who are looking to make an impression in the only T20 International, which would be played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Picking an eleven for both sides isn’t an easy job. Of course, there are a few regulars who may walk in, but there would be some new players in the side as well. The word from the Australian camp is that Sean Abbott will play. With Mitchell Marsh injured, they have 11 players in the side to schoose. Mohammad Hafeez has been ruled out of the Pakistan side and Sami Aslam has been called as a replacement. Even Zulfiqar Babar is in the side.

Australia will feature Finch, Glenn Maxwell, James Faulkner, Brad Haddin, David Warner and Steven Smith. Abbott will play. They will also bring in Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins to form a three-pronged pace-attack. Cameron Boyce, being the lone spinner in the side is crucial to their chances. Australia may be missing a few big names, but they do have the strength to come good in the competition. According to Cricket Australia’s official website some of the ODI players could come into play in the only T20I match.
