Aaron Finch, the Australian T20 International captain, survived a close call with the fireworks on the boundary during the first T20 International against South Africa at the Adelaide Oval. Finch was chasing a ball that beat him in the race to the boundary. However, the ball finally settled near a few fireworks instruments. Finch waited for them to go off and when they didn’t, he approached it to pick the ball. Just as he was about to take the ball, the machines gave way, which presented a scare for Finch. The Australian T20 skipper may consider himself lucky for this and players would be more careful with such instruments on the boundary. However, Cricket Australia (CA) did apologise to their skipper.
