Here's a video of the highlights from the afternoon session on Day 1 of the first Ashes Test at Trent Bridge in Nottingham on Wednesday.

England began the session with their score at 98 for two. Australia struck early in the session as Kevin Pietersen was dismissed by Peter Siddle for 14. Soon after, Jonathan Trott was bowled by Siddle for a well constructed innings of 48.

Ian Bell and Jonny Bairstow put together the highest partnership of the innings worth 54 runs. Siddle then struck twice in quick succession as Bell (25) and Matt Prior (1) were sent back into the dressing room.

Siddle had taken five wickets. England entered tea with their score reading 185 for six. Bairstow (32) and Stuart Broad (1) were at the crease.
