Phil Hughes, the Australian batsman spoke to the media after he scored 84 against Sussex in an Ashes tour match at the Hove. This is an important game as Australia are plotting a revival after losing the first two Tests of the ongoing Ashes series.

Hughes said that he is ready to bat anywhere and that although it was a tour game, the motivation to play for the country keeps one going. He also said that it was great to see David Warner get runs for Australia A against South Africa A. It has been a tough tour for Australia so far and it would take some effort to make a comeback in the series.

Australia finished the first day of the game at 354 for five with Steven Smith top scoring with 98 not out.
