England skipper Eoin Morgan admitted that his team played poor cricket after losing the second One-Day International (ODI) match against Australia at Old Trafford, Manchester on Sunday.

“We were poor all round. [England] should have restricted Australia for 40-50 less. With the bat we never quite got going,” Morgan said.

“Australia played pretty well. They got the big partnerships going well and they played quite aggressively,’ he added.

Morgan also said that he was happy to see Boyd Rankin and Kevin Pietersen play well.

England now lead the series 1-0 after the first match was washed off due to rain.
