James Faulkner celebrates the wicket of Shilhar Dhawan by high-fiving his teammates, but it goes horribly wrong for Brad Haddin. Faulkner dismissed Dhawan in the first One-Day International (ODI) between India and Australia in Pune on Sunday.

The ball found the edge of the bat and went to wicketkeeper Haddin, who took a simple catch. When the players joined to celebrate, an ecstatic Faulkner gave high-fives to his teammates. In the process, the left-arm pacer stubbed Haddin’s eye.

Commentators Harsha Bhogle and Shane Warne see the funny side of it, but not so sure Haddin sees it the same way. One has to be careful, though, as such minor incidents can lead to injury. Haddin, however, had to leave the field for some time. He did come back after a while. Phil Hughes kept wickets in Haddin’s absence.
