Josh Hazlewood played his second One-Day International (ODI) against England on September 11, 2013, at Birmingham. The match was washed out. He played his second ODI after a gap of three years. In 2010, he made his ODI debut against England at Southampton.

Hazlewood has had limited opportunities for Australia. He played in a couple of T20s and just a single ODI. He is hopeful of playing the remaining two ODIs.

The Australia bowlers are injury-struck with Mitchell Starc missing the remainder of the series. Hazlewood hopes to make use of the opportunities. He wants to be part of the longer format.
