Jammu and Kashmir skipper Parvez Rasool has said that he was in awe of Bharat Ratna awardee Sachin Tendulkar and could not wait to be in mentored by him in the near future.


Rasool also said that Tendulkar was the ‘best cricketer in the world’ and was also a great human being.


Rasool who was included in the Rest of India side which is set to play Karnataka in the Irani Trophy also hoped that he would cement his place in the national team.


Rasool said that he would try to establish himself both as a batsman and a bowler and hoped that he performed well in the matches to come.
