Part four of Simon Taufel's lecture delivered at the Marylebourne Cricket Club's (MCC) Spirit of Cricket Cowdrey Lecture.

In this part, Simon Taufel talks about the technology in cricket and how it has given a lot of information to spectators. He goes on to say that the invasive nature of broadcasting has a double edge to it as he concedes that the advancement in technology has resulted in more arm chair experts and umpires. This situation, he says, adds more pressure on players and the umpires.

He also says that we  can appreciate the skills in display and how some of the best umpiring decisions are made much better in today's game than before.

He also said, "Spirit of the cricket means to me that the values of the game take priority over person gain or advancement."
