Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma celebrated his birthday along with teammates after the win against Kings XI Punjab.

Ahead of his birthday, Sharma played a crucial innings of 79 runs against Kings XI Punjab at his home ground, Wankhede Stadium. His birthday was almost spoiled by Praveen Kumar after the the Punjab pacer almost  won the match for his side with some lusty blows in the last over. Mumbai however prevailed to snatch a 4-run win.

Sharma has been impressive with his captaincy winning both the matches he has led this season. He was appointed as captain after Ricky Ponting excluded himself from the playing XI due to poor run with the bat. Sharma has scored 353 runs in this season at an average of 58.83.
