Meanwhile, Cheteshwar Pujara and Murali Vijay’s mammoth 370 runs partnership is now the highest for India for the second wicket in Test cricket. It has been a stand that has frustrated the touring Australians and put India in a commanding position in the second Test at Hyderabad.

Pujara and Vijay moved past the previous record of 344 by Sunil Gavaskar and Dilip Vengsarkar.
