Naseeruddin Shah to host a TV show on cricket

'Mid-wicket tales' will feature anecdotes from cricket's past and present.

Naseeruddin Shah will host a television show featuring interesting stories related to cricket from the past and present. The commercial on YouTube has him recollecting an incident in 1979, of the announcement of India’s new captain. Srinivas Venkataraghavan and Sunil Gavaskar, the outgoing captain and the appointed captain, were both oblivious of the development, and the pilot of the aircraft in which the Indian side was returning from the England tour broke the news.

The show will be shown on an Indian channel named ‘Epic’ every Friday, beginning July 10.
