Rohit Sharma was dismissed for 34 off 48 deliveries against Australia in ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 semi-final at Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG). He hit two sixes and a boundary. Rohit’s wicket puts India in further trouble as they had just lost two back-to-back wickets, that off Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli. Watch the video here
Rohit had just smashed Mitchell Johnson for a six in just the previous delivery. The next delivery was pitched on good length and nipped back to crash into the stumps. It was a time when India needed another solid partnership but were not able to find India have lost three wickets, including that of Rohit in quick succession. Earlier Australia had won the toss and elected to bat first. Both India and Australia have did not make any changes in their side and went in with the same team that played in their respective victories against Bangladesh and Pakistan respectively. India are the defending champions and will look to go to Melbourne to defend their title against co-hosts New Zealand.
