Sachin Tendulkar deserves Bharat Ratna: Sania Mirza

Indian tennis player Sania Mirza thinks that cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar deserves to receive the Bharat Ratna more than any other sportsperson in India.

Tendulkar will get India’s highest civilian honour on January 26, 2014. He retired from Test cricket in November as the highest run-scorer and century-maker in both Tests and One-Day Internationals (ODIs).

Mirza said that after all the milestones achieved by Tendulkar, it was only logical to give him the award. She also said that she is a big Tendulkar fan and the Bharat Ratna is like the perfect going away gift.
