Even though Jammu and Kashmir have been ousted from the Ranji Trophy 2013-14 season in the quarter-finals by an upbeat Punjab, their confidence is sky-rocketing at moment.

In the words of their ace paceman, Samiullah Beigh who bagged 35 wickets this season, the team’s success was propelled by their star all-rounder and captain, Parvez Rasool.

The Jammu and Kashmir team has grabbed the attention of the media and cricket lovers of the country with their unanticipated show in this season’s Ranji Trophy. Their lesser known skillful batsmen and bowlers have surprised the think-tanks of many a state during their journey to the quarter-finals.

Beigh says that Rasool’s rise to the top and selection into the national team has instilled a sense of self-belief in the team that they too can achieve similar heights if one their teammates can.
