New South Wales‘ (NSW) Ryan Carters speaks to CA TV following his knock of 72 against Western Australia (WA) on Day 1 of the Sheffield Shield final at Canberra.
NSW had won the toss and opted to bat first.
Nick Madinson was the first wicket to fall as he was trapped leg-before for 14.
Steven Smith looked in great nick as he blasted the second ball he faced for a boundary.
Ryan Carters hit a splendid 72 for NSW whereas Smith followed suit with a magnificent 75.
Both batsmen propelled NSW to a total of 242 for 6.
WA had their most successful bowler in the form of Jason Behrendorff who picked up 3 for 41 whereas Michael Hogan and Ryan Duffield picked up 2 for 43 and 1 for 71 respectively.
