MCC Spirit of Cricket Cowdrey Lecture – Mike Gatting talks about Shakoor Rana

Former England skipper Mike Gatting discussed his relations with the umpires during his playing days at the MCC Spirit of Cricket Cowdrey Lecture.

Gatting was known for his infamous fights with Pakistan umpire Shakoor Rana. However, while talking about his relations with umpires, Gatting said that he got along well with almost all the umpires around the world.

He believes that it is not just bad decisions that infuriated him, but also the way the umpires officiated the game and managed the players on the field.
