Former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly on Saturday urged fans to be more patient with the team in wake of a string of failures and subsequent criticism.

Ganguly said that the team is going through a transition phase as many stalwarts have retired.

He said batsman Virender Sehwag and spinner Harbhajan Singh, who have been axed from the team due to poor performance, would bounce back.

Ganguly had played more than 100 Test matches from 1996 to 2008 and captained the Indian team from 2000 to 2005.
