People in Chennai are passionate about their cricket and cricketers. When Chennai Super Kings (CSK) was operational, the franchise had the most ardent legion of supporters. But with the southern side getting banned for a couple of years from the Indian Premier League (IPL), the same fans were cricket deprived. The first season of TNPL, which is currently underway, has got tremendous response from the fans in the city. What makes it special for them is not just the presence of local cricketing talent, but also of some of their favourite players like Brett Lee and their very own Matthew Hayden, who are present in the city in the capacity of commentators and ambassadors for the tournament.

Hayden, in particular, has been keeping the crowd on their toes. The ex-CSK player apparently travelled the length and breadth of the state to promote the league. And now that it has opened to a fantastic response, he is relaxing and having some fun. Recently, he visited Tirunelveli, a city in Tamil Nadu, which is famous for its Halwa, a form of sweet.
