Ishant Sharma created history as he picked up seven for 74 in the second Test at Lord’s in India’s tour to England in 2014. India won the match by 95 runs after the first Test at Nottingham ended in a draw. He started off with a peach of a delivery to dismiss Ian Bell and then got the wicket of captain Alastair Cook immediately after that. England managed to build a decent partnership after that but some excellent strategy by India ensured that England did not run away with the match. The series of wickets started with Moeen Ali, who was caught at short leg after he failed to keep a short delivery from Ishant out. Other batsmen Matt Prior, Joe Root, Ben Stokes and Stuart Broad fell as they could not contain themselves from hooking. They found themselves caught either caught at deep square leg or fine leg.
