Indian middle-order batsman Manish Pandey interacted with the media ahead of the first ODI of the five-match series versus Sri Lanka on Sunday. Pandey spoke about the significance of fitness in current times and how all the members want to remain in shape. Pandey also mentioned how frustrating it was to sit out of the important fixtures in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and skip ICC Champions Trophy 2017 due to injury. Coming on the back of good performances for India A, 27-year-old Pandy is confident of turning the tides if given a chance in the Playing XI against Sri Lanka. Pandey has no issues if KL Rahul is given a run at No. 4, a spot where he normally bats. He mentioned that he is content to wait for his opportunity.
