Mohammad Kaif took a blinder of a catch to dismiss Nick Knight off the bowling of Yuvraj Singh during the eighth match of the Natwest Trophy series between India and England at the Oval on July 9 in 2002. Knight departed on a score of 31 from 38 balls, after attempting to sweep a low delivery by Yuvraj that was pitched on the off-stump, for Kaif to take a diving catch at the square-leg region.

England eventually reached a score of 229 for eight at the end of their quota of 50 overs, before dismissing India out for 165. It would be India’s only defeat in a successful series, that saw India win a thriller of a final at Lord’s by two wickets by chasing a 326-run target down with two balls to spare. It would be the Kaif-Yuvraj Pair who would shine in the final once again, sharing a 123-run stand for the sixth wicket to rescue India from a score of 146 for five.
