The first of the five-ODI series between India and Sri Lanka will be played at Dambulla on Sunday, August 20. Ahead of the series opener, Team India reached the venue and was seen practicing hard at the nets. Indian skipper Virat Kohli led the outdoor session by having a go with the bat and carried out the normal drills as well. Shikhar Dhawan, Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul batted for long hours as well. Rohit Sharma, the newly-appointed vice-captain, did some regulation shadow practice while Ravi Shastri kept a close eye on Jasprit Bumrah with the ball. Meanwhile, limited-overs specialist and former captain MS Dhoni took a backseat initially before hitting out at the nets.
