Off spinner Ravichandran Ashwin said that it was not under his jurisdiction to comment over what had transpired between vice-captain Virat Kohli and an Indian journalist. Kohli is said to have a heated discussion with an Indian journalist during India’s practice session ahead of their game against West Indies in ICC Cricket World Cup 2015. Ashwin said that it is the responsibility of the traveling journalists from India to report the game in the way it is supposed to and he sometimes is not happy with the way things are reported. He also added that it was his personal opinion. After the spat, Kohli is said to have apologised but the journalist has filed a complaint with the International Cricket Council (ICC) and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
