India vice-captain Virat Kohli was dismissed for just one off 13 deliveries after he top edged a short delivery from Mitchell Johnson, which went up in the air and was gobbled up by wicket-keeper brad Haddin. India’s World Cup final hopes took a big hit with the crucial wicket of Kohli, which put Australia in command after picking up the wicket of Shikhar Dhawan a few overs back. Watch the video here
Kohli’s Bollywood actress girlfriend Anushka Sharma looked on glumly in the stands as India slumped to 78 for two in the 16th over chasing 329 for victory. Australia will be delighted with the wicket as Kohli has an excellent record when it comes to chasing down big totals. India still a long way from victory but have enough depth to chase down this mammoth total. VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS: Aaron Finch’s 81 in India vs Australia semi-final, ICC Cricket World Cup 2015
Australia had won the toss earlier and decided to bat first in this big game. Both teams are unchanged from their triumphs in the quarter-final. India have chased only a couple of times against Zimbabwe and West Indies, were successful on both occasions. Australia will look to knock down the remaining wickets cheaply as well.
